The Tool Surfboard is exactly what is says, an all around high performance short board tool board that is great for any wave if you have advanced past the novice level. If you have only one small board bag for that big surf trip or if you can only afford one board, the Tool is a great board for you.

California Surfboards has spent years surfing, designing and shaping thousands of boards at an elite level.  We offer this all in one Tool to cover all the dynamic and responsive ride you will need from a board either surfing 2 feet Trestles or 12 feet Blacks. Intermediate to elite surfers can gain their full potential and capitalize on every opportunity on every wave when equipped with the Tool.

OUTLINE: Modern day straight outline. Performance short board outline with tapered nose and curved rail lines are designed to fit with the contours of the wave allowing tight pocket turns and fast rail transitions into explosive turns.

BOTTOM: Full-length single-to-double concave is geared for maximum speed, sensitivity and control at high speeds.

ROCKER: Moderate and smooth from nose to mid-section with more aggressive exit rocker. The Tool maintains speed over flatter sections, and will perform explosive turns in the most critical parts of the wave.

FOIL: Refined through the nose and tail to add turning sensitivity. Medium gauge performance rails provide a reliable feel in both clean and bumpy conditions.

FINS: Futures Tri-Quad or FCS Tri-Quad  (comes with 3 fin set up standard).

Stock board purchase is in a Poly sanded finish. If you want a custom board with color please order through our board builder. The Tool Surfboard also comes with a Free custom made Cal Surf Shirt in your size.
